Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Monday was chicken canning day at our house. I ordered 80 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breasts from Zaycon Fresh. We were there before 8 and was 2nd in line. Hubs wanted to be 1st. We borrowed a pressure canner from our DIL so we could have 2 going and get this knocked out.

Sunday, July 14, 2013. Coastal Pearls - String of Pearls Quilt-Along - Part 2. All of the navy accents are now attached. Each pearl again was attached to a long navy strip and then cut apart. And the pearls have been pressed. I really enjoy the monotony of the chain piecing. And the piles of blocks it creates. Thursday, July 11, 2013. The quilt block is constructed from the center - outwards. And parts of it remind me of folding origami. The key is to remember to sew perpendi.

Wednesday, August 12, 2015. This one is for a coworker and her son is graduating college in a few months. So this weekend I started on the new project and got everything interfaced and rough cut, just to test sizing and I was pleasantly surprised when my random initial layout had things fitting excellently together. I did a bit of rearranging so that the colors would balance out better and came out with this layout.
